Catering

From January 2025, our school meals are provided by Innovate, who prepare, cook and serve from our in-school kitchen, with children eating at tables in the school hall.

Innovate provide a three-week rotating menu providing a healthy and balanced lunch that is packed full of choice. Every day there is a choice of a hot main meal (both meat and vegetarian), filled rolls, baked potatoes and fresh pasta, plus sides, salad and homemade bread. There's a sweet treat every day, or a choice of jelly, fruit or yoghurt.  Mixing familiar meals with new options, plus special theme days, Innovate provide an exciting menu that children love.

At lunchtime there is water available to drink and staff on hand to provide help if they need it.

  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
  • Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • The guaranteed element of Pension Credit

  • Working Tax Credit run-on - paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit
  • Universal Credit - if you applied after 1 April 2018 your household income must be less than £7,400 a year (after tax and not including any benefits you get)

If you think your child may be eligible for free school meals, or if you have any questions about free school meals, please contact the school office, who will be happy to help you.

Food Allergies and Intolerances

Caterlink are committed to providing suitable meals for all children. Please ensure that your child's allergy or dietary requirements have been registered at the school office.

If you have any questions about menus or queries relating to your child’s dietary requirements, please speak to the School Office.

Paying for School Meals

We are a Healthy School, and firmly believe in the benefits of having a well-balanced meal at lunchtime. Children in Years 3 – 6 have the choice of paying for a school meal or bringing in a packed lunch from home.

School meals cost £2.65 per day for children in years 3 to 6 who are not in receipt of free school meals (all children in Reception and years 1 and 2 receive the government funded Universal Infant Free School Meals).

Parents of children in all years are required to set up an online account with ParentPay in order to pay for (where applicable) school meals for their child.

If you do not order a school meal on any particular day, we will assume your child will bring a packed lunch from home.
